Anti-Corruption Policy Statement
Solekia Limited and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries and affiliates (“Solekia Group”) embrace their ongoing mission to create new value by focusing on customers, taking on change in advance, and helping achieve a happy and content society, rich both morally and materially. We believe firmly in this timeless and essential mission as we move forward to pursue global business opportunities.
The proper implementation of corporate compliance is an important cornerstone of corporate management in fulfilling the above-referenced mission. Every Solekia Group executive and employee must observe the Solekia Group Code of Conduct , which, among other restrictions, unequivocally prohibits bribery, such as the offering of entertainment, gifts, anything of value or other benefits for an illicit or unfair purpose to customers, business partners or government officials. In addition, no executive or employee of Solekia Group is permitted to receive any kind of bribe. Every member of Solekia Group is required to observe principles of good faith and fairness, pay particular attention to the need for fair dealing and fair competition, and respect the laws, cultures and customs of every country.
Specifically with regard to anti-corruption, this Statement declares to all interested parties, foreign and domestic, that the Solekia Group’s basic policy is to respect and comply with treaties, laws and regulations of every country, including Article 18 (“Prohibition on the Providing of Illicit Gains, etc. to Foreign Public Officers, etc.”) of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act of Japan, the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and the UK Bribery Act.
